A STUDY ON THE PERCEPTION OF CONSUMERS TOWARDSPETROLEUM PRICE FLUCTUATION WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO TAVANUR AREA
Issue Date: Mar-2024
Abstract: Nowadays, the price of all products and services are fluctuating, especially petroleum price. In dynamic fuel pricing, retail selling prices of petrol and diesel will be revised daily. The prices of petrol and diesel are determined by various factors. First the cost of crude oil, second taxes the centre and state impose. Petrol and diesel are expensive primarily, because of the central and state taxes. Taxes on fuels are a huge revenue generation for the government. As for the everyday changes in fuel prices, it is because of a dynamic pricing system that reflects fluctuations in global oil market.
