Abstract: Human emotions are intricate and often unpredictable, interwoven with the tapestry of life's experiences. Literature, particularly through cinema, serves as a profound medium to encapsulate the myriad facets of human psyche and societal dynamics. This research delves into film "Kumari" by Nirmal Sahadev and offering a unique narrative lens into psychoanalysis, feminism, patriarchy, mythology, racial discrimination, and communism. Drawing upon theoretical frameworks including psychoanalysis, feminism, patriarchy, and cultural studies, the analysis scrutinises how these films unravel the complexities of the human mind and societal structures. Psychoanalysis, pioneered by Sigmund Freud, illuminates the unconscious realms of human cognition, while feminism challenges societal norms and advocates for gender equality. Patriarchy, as a systemic dominance of men, and mythology, serving as a cultural narrative, further enrich the discourse. The technical craftsmanship of these films, characterised by evocative cinematography and immersive soundtracks, contributes to their narrative depth. Special emphasis is placed on narrative techniques that transcend conventional storytelling, offering profound insights into human experiences. Noteworthy performances, particularly in narration by actors like Swastika, amplify the films' emotional resonance. Nirmal Sahadev brings a distinct vision to the screen. Nirmal Sahadev's "Kumari" blends fantasy and horror with a narrative inspired by traditional folklore. Through meticulous analysis, this research underscores how these film transcend mere entertainment, offering profound reflections on human psychology and societal constructs. They serve as compelling narratives that resonate with audiences, inviting introspection into the complexities of the human condition.
